I believe competitions are a great way to help you grow and evolve as a photographer.
It is so useful to get critic on yous pictures and either it is good or bad you always learn a lot! These are some of the pictures that gotten rewarded in one way or the other over the last couple of years both in the Swedish Championship, The WPE Awards and in the FEP Awards.
